How's this for Progress?
by cantleave inlast year i gave the memorial talk, this year for the first time in my entire life i won't even be going.. i guess that missing the memorial will definitely put us on the elder's radar, so i am expecting the elders to be concerned an interrogation.
.
i was going to use the excuse that i will be in a different part of country, but i won't be and i will be at work with at least 3 other jw's in a neighbouring congregation.. .

Validity of JW Baptism
by maputo95 inplease could someone tell me what is said in a jw baptism?
i was told that jw baptisms are invalid because they do not baptise in the "name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit.
because of this invalid baptism a catholic cannot marry a jw with church approval, i think.

oh i got that sick feeling in my stomach when i read that!!! I used to get all teary eyed at that and no I think how much of a waist it is!!!

What's your plans on the JW Memorial night?
by dissed infor the last 13 years, we haven't attended and didn't even care about it.
but since we became card carrying members of jwn in september, we have an interest in what are friends here on jwn are doing.. for us?
we will be watching 'dancing with the stars'.

MMXIV - wow that would be a good idea for them... talk to them as long as they are at the KH!!! in a way that is what they do to reproved ones... me being one of those chosen.
I think - not sure how - they need to give more respect to women if they want to continue.... The blood deal will need to become "conscience" to provent law suits!!! D/C and C/A will be on the internet... for a fee

Has anyone tried to prevent ex-spouse from training the kids as JWs?
by Michelle365 ini am at the point in my custody battle where i need to decide if i'm gonna "go for the gold" and bring religion into the fight.
my lawyer thinks i have a chance based on the parental alienation aspect of the religion.
i'm df'd and my kids are being raised to turn against me.

wow lots of good advice!! being raised one parent in Dad and Mom not.... It's been said but i'll say again don't be negative about your ex or religion. He will be negative with what you teach and that gives you the upper hand!!! Love your kids and help them with the early signs of guilt when they get to do things with you that dad didn't let them. I didn't get out till a year ago... but i did get out.

my guesses for releases this year will be an update creation book and a book on jeremiah.
two books were released as recently as 2008 so i don't think this would be out of the question.. friday.

this will be my 2nd year to not go!!! So So So glad about it!!! i didn't enjoy them when I was one!!! to think of it I didn't enjoy much of anything that we were "forced" in to doing!!!

Ever have a part on a convention or assembly?
by Frog ini played a role in a convention drama when i was 14. it was a really poxy modern day drama.
something about catching my bigger brother puffing on a cigarette lol.
i had to practice the part for months in a dogey american accents.

many many parts at least one a year. I hated it cuz you would have rehersal and the CO would change what you say? My last part I remember feeling so fake because I didn't want to even be there...
